I was forced to wade through page after page of characters discussing their feelings, past and present, as well lengthy exchanges on the methods, risks, consequences, and ethical ramifications of using time-travel abilities to alter history. Whereas the first two books had just enough dialogue to provide necessary backstory and to develop characters, Visitors drowned in it.
